Royal Length Veil — 500cm
For the ultimate bridal statement, it doesn't get more dramatic than a 500cm Royal Length veil.
Sweeping an impressive five metres from your hair, a royal veil extends well beyond the train of your gown and creates an incredible effect as you walk down the aisle.
Perfect for: Grand venues, long aisles, formal weddings and brides wanting maximum drama.
Things to consider: A veil this long requires a little more assistance to arrange and move throughout the day. It's also less practical for smaller venues or outdoor locations where the veil may need to travel across grass or uneven ground.
Cathedral Length Veil — 300cm
Our most popular veil length.
If you're dreaming of that classic long-veil bridal look, Cathedral Length is a beautiful choice.
At 300cm, the veil extends beyond the train of most gowns, creating a soft, flowing silhouette and gorgeous movement in photographs without the scale of a Royal Length veil.
It's dramatic enough to make an impact while still being relatively easy to manage — which is one of the reasons it's our most popular length.
Perfect for: Church weddings, formal venues, gowns with trains and brides wanting the classic long-veil look.
Things to consider: You may prefer to remove your veil after the ceremony or before the reception so you can move and dance more easily.
Chapel Length Veil — 200cm
Chapel Length is the perfect middle ground for brides who want a longer veil without the extra length of a cathedral style.
At 200cm, it generally reaches the floor or extends slightly beyond the hem of your gown, giving you a beautiful flowing effect while remaining easy to wear.
Perfect for: Almost any wedding style, particularly brides wanting an elegant floor-length veil without too much extra fabric.
Things to consider: You'll still need to take a little care when walking or sitting, but it's considerably easier to manage than Cathedral or Royal Length.
Fingertip Length Veil — 100cm
As the name suggests, a Fingertip Length veil falls to approximately your fingertips when your arms are resting naturally by your sides.
At around 100cm, it's an incredibly versatile option that works with a wide range of gown silhouettes and wedding styles.
Because it doesn't reach the floor, it's also much easier to move, sit and dance in.
Perfect for: Brides wanting a traditional veil without a train, outdoor weddings, relaxed ceremonies and wearing your veil throughout more of the day.
Things to consider: It won't create the same sweeping effect in photographs as a Chapel, Cathedral or Royal Length veil.
Elbow Length Veil — 75cm
Our shortest veil length, the 75cm Elbow Length veil finishes around the elbow and creates a light, effortless bridal look.
It's particularly easy to wear and works beautifully when you want your gown — especially its train or back detailing — to remain the focus.
Perfect for: Outdoor weddings, relaxed ceremonies, vintage-inspired looks and brides wanting something lightweight and easy to wear.
Things to consider: If you're dreaming of dramatic veil photographs or a long flowing train, one of our longer lengths will give you more impact.
Which Veil Length Should I Choose?
There's no single "correct" veil length — the best choice depends on your gown, venue and the overall look you want to create.
As a simple starting point:
75cm Elbow — short, light and effortless
100cm Fingertip — versatile and easy to wear
200cm Chapel — elegant with a subtle floor-length finish
300cm Cathedral — dramatic, timeless and our most popular length
500cm Royal — maximum impact and drama
If you're torn between two lengths, think about how much movement and drama you want in your wedding photos, as well as how long you plan to wear your veil.
Can I Have My Veil Shortened?
Yes. If your perfect length falls somewhere between our standard measurements, many of our veils can be professionally shortened by a seamstress.
Purchasing a longer veil and having it altered gives you more flexibility, as length can always be removed but can't be added later.
This works for many of our veil styles, although veils with lace or finished edging may not be suitable for shortening.
